This past weekend we participated in Industry Flea, a monthly pop-up market taking place the last Friday of every month in conjunction with H&8th, the largest monthly food truck festival in the US. The event featured a variety of local vendors including craftsmen, artisan food products and vintage finds in addition to local shops. We had a great time meeting new customers and hanging out with other local brands like: Red Hot Mama's Pickles, Sole Root, Sweet and Spurs, Shop Savvy, and Out on a Limb.
It was fun being a small part of the resurgence of downtown OKC. It is amazing when you stop to think that the first H&8th was held in Aug 2011 and the event now attracts more than 30k visitors! That last year the area near 10th & Hudson was little more than an empty lot and now the area features The Bleu Garten, R&J Supper Club, Fassler Hall & Dust Bowl. It is a very exciting time in OKC and Sparrow Park is happy to be part of it.

Our blankets are the perfect fit for bicycle baskets!
One of the most fun aspects of the weekend was checking out the other local brands:
Buttermilk Southern Sliders is Waffle Champion's new food truck....
... their fried chicken sliders are amazing!
These guys stole the show (Mustang Creek Alpacas)
Really cute wares from A Date with Iris
Our new favorite place to buy plants (The Plant Stand)
And fun entertainment from Honky Tonk Stepchild
We'll be out of town during the next couple Industry Flea events but hope to participate again in late summer and fall. Watch our social media for updates!
Each year the OKC Run to Remember Memorial Marathon routes runners right past our house. It makes for a fun and reflective morning. We gather outside at 6am with our neighbors to enjoy our coffee & tea, cheer on the runners, and commemorate the Oklahoma City bombing. Congrats to all of this year's participants and finishers!
This year our park featured a marching band to help keep motivations up
We are always inspired by the firefighters completing the race in full gear
If you ever find yourself in OKC the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum is a must-see.
"The spirit of this city and this nation will not be defeated; our deeply rooted faith sustains us."
We road tripped to Dallas last weekend to participate in Northern Grade, a roving pop-up market focused on quality brands that are made in America. The market took place in a really cool space inside an old Goodyear plant in the Dallas Design District. We had a great time meeting new customers, hanging out with the other brands, checking out all of the interesting booth displays, and doing a little American-made shopping. A big thanks to Stag Provisions for hosting.

Come see us this weekend at Industry Flea in Oklahoma City at 10th and Hudson. Sat 10am-8pm and Sun 12-5pm.
We're hosting a Valentine's Day potluck tonight. It is a fun way to celebrate the holiday a little early with my girlfriends and such a good excuse to break out our new Red and Hot Pink contrast stitch linens :) Hope that everyone has a great Valentine's Day weekend!
First, we want to send a BIG THANKS to everyone who supported us in 2014. Whether you shared your experience and advice, loaned us your services, told your friends about us, or made a purchase- we really appreciate it!
We have a lot of exciting things planned for 2015! For the last several months we have been working behind the scenes on expanding our product line. We are excited to announce that we will be releasing a new line of table linens in the coming weeks - dinner napkins, cocktail napkins, and table runners. Just like our picnic blankets these linens are stylish, functional, and American-made. We can't wait to share them with you!
A sneak peek at what's to come...

Earlier this summer we had the opportunity to travel to LA and shoot our products with the amazingly talented Marie Buck. The weather hadn't fully warmed up in Oklahoma so we were thrilled about the chance to spend a couple days in California. Having photographed in LA for several years, Marie suggested a bunch of great locations. The first spot we decided on was El Matador State Beach in Malibu. This gorgeous location boasts amazing views and large rock structures creating the perfect atmosphere for our products. We had a really fun afternoon hanging out with Marie and Jackie, Jessie, and Sal, our models, whose happy, fun personalities perfectly complement the relaxed, cheerful vibe of our blankets and tablecloths.
A BIG thank you to everyone who participated in the shoot!

Yesterday we officially launched Sparrow Park Goods & Co.!
We want to start by saying THANK YOU to everyone who has helped us get here. This launch was more than a year in the making and we would not be here if it were not for the countless individuals who provided advice, guidance, and support along the way.
Sparrow Park is an American-made lifestyle company offering high quality, durable textiles in bright colors and fun patterns. All of our products are American-made; designed in Oklahoma City and constructed in Chicago. We launched with two products – our signature picnic blankets and picnic tablecloths – and will be expanding to offer additional new and exciting products in the coming months.
It has been wonderful to have received such a great response, on the first day, for a project that has consumed our lives for the past year. We are fueled by your interest and you can expect to see many more exciting things from us as we move forward.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to serving you!
